Infloor/Underfloor Heating System Installed in Bathroom, Entrance or Under Staircase

Infloor/underfloor heating system installed in bathroom, entrance area or under outside staircase is the best choice concerning the specifics ofClick to enlarge these areas.

Infloor radiant heating is always recomended to be installed in the bathroom and this recomendation is backed by logical reasonining: standing on the floor barefooted, wearing lighter clothes and often having water spils on the floor.  Electric or hydronic infloor radiant heating system installed in the bathroom – is a good choice at all points of view.

However, Wanpan hydronic baseboard heating, can be installed in the bathroom at the choice of the owner. Electric Elpan heating system is strictly not recomended to be installed in the bathroom, because of the safety regulations.

At the entrance of the house and under outside stairase – these are the areas of the house, as well as the bathroom, where you should be suggested to install infloor/underfloor radiant heating system. It helps to have the mentioned areas clear out of snow and water much faster. The only concern has to be addressed – to make sure, that updated and reliable insullation is properly installed. If the job is done more or less ceareless – the high heat losses will appear and heating these areas of the property will become very costly.

Infloor/underfloor radiant heating systems are the most recomended heating systems to be installed in the bathroom, entrance of the house and under outside staircase.

Elpan/Wanpan skirting board radiant heating system – great inspiration for indoor design

Indoor designers and property owners may have few challenges to overcome when following the contemporary indoor design and trying to keep walls free of traditional radiators, baseboard heaters, etc., if they choose not to install infloor/underfloor heating.

At this point, energy saving Elpan/Wanpan skirting board radiant heating system represents great oportunity to explore designers’ creativity as well as to install one of the most efficient heating systems. Elpan/Wanpan heating panels, as they look like close to regular baseboards, easily flow into indoor design while matching wall colour as well as, in some way, complimenting height of stairs.

Energy efficient Elpan/Wanpan skirting board radiant heating system installed in two level areas shows unique approach to baseboard heating and provides comfort and healthy indoor environment as well as inspires for interesting indoor design solutions.

Energy Consumption and Wood Flooring

A signifficant amount of heating energy could be lost when transfering heat through other objects and especially – wood. The thermal conductivity of wood is very low, compearing with metals. Wood -based materials as loose fill, flexible batts or rigid panels are used for Thermal or Sound Insulation.

Because of these scientific facts, it is not a very good idea to install wood floor and infloor/underfloor heating system while seeking to have energy efficient heating. Energy efficient Elpan/Wanpan skirting board radiant heating system has no limitations at this point and any type of flooring works perfectly fine.

The thermal conductivity of structural softwood lumber at 12% moisture is about 1500 times lower than thermal conductivity of aluminum.

Front plates of Wanpan modular heating panels are made of aluminum. The structure of hydronic Wanpan skirting board heating system allows radiant heat to flow through aluminum plates into the room without the additional energy consumption, which would be needed to transfer heat through the wood floor. Copper pipes mounted behind the aluminum front plates of Wanpan baseboard modular panels complete the concept of this ultimate heating system.
