Wanpan Hydronic Heating System – No Water Leaking Issues

Going through visual inspection or more detailed examination of ANY KIND of skirting board heating system, physical characteristics of heating panels, connections and other parts of the heating system have to be taken into consideration very seriously.

Metals and other materials have tendency to extand to a certain (individual) degree – when heated. Connecting two parts which have different  physical characteristics could cause water leaking problems, because of the qualities mentioned above.

The construction of Wanpan hydronic heating system is based on scientific facts and numerous tests. PLEX pipes and Compression Connections along with aluminum surface of heating panels and copper made pipes make Wanpan hydronic skirting board heating system completed and highly reliable.

When heating panels are mounted on to the wall, it is very important to run the trial test and check out all connections for water leak. Compression Connections of Wanpan hydronic baseboard heating system can hold up to 235 PSI ( 16 ATM ) preassure. Energy efficient Wanpan heating system is the reliable hydronic skirting board heating system.

Scientifically based choice of materials, carefully tested construction and high quality installation job is the key for uninterrupted performance of Wanpan hydronic baseboard heating system.

Carpet Flooring and Elpan/Wanpan Ultimate Radiant Heating System

It is necessary to install the ultimate heating system, when going green and energy efficient, especially, if chosing carpet flooring. Recently, manufacturers are making thin carpet with a low pile and suggesting it to be used with any heating system, even infloor/underfloor heating systems. However, if heated floor of entire room are covered and heat has to pass through any additional layer (such as carpet), heating efficiency is affected significantly.

Conductivity of carpet is extremly low. Even if the surface of the floor (under the carpet) is heated to the max it will be very difficult to heat the room. In this case, Radiant Heating becomes Conductive Heating, which is one of the most unefficient ways to heat premises.

Energy efficient Elpan/Wanpan skirting board radiant heating system is absolutely suitable, when it comes to carpeted floor. The modular heating panels of Elpan/Wanpan ultimate radiant heating system are installed 0.5 inch from the floor level, so carpet may by layed just under the skirting board so ventilation holes stay uncovered.

Energy Consumption and Wood Flooring

A signifficant amount of heating energy could be lost when transfering heat through other objects and especially – wood. The thermal conductivity of wood is very low, compearing with metals. Wood -based materials as loose fill, flexible batts or rigid panels are used for Thermal or Sound Insulation.

Because of these scientific facts, it is not a very good idea to install wood floor and infloor/underfloor heating system while seeking to have energy efficient heating. Energy efficient Elpan/Wanpan skirting board radiant heating system has no limitations at this point and any type of flooring works perfectly fine.

The thermal conductivity of structural softwood lumber at 12% moisture is about 1500 times lower than thermal conductivity of aluminum.

Front plates of Wanpan modular heating panels are made of aluminum. The structure of hydronic Wanpan skirting board heating system allows radiant heat to flow through aluminum plates into the room without the additional energy consumption, which would be needed to transfer heat through the wood floor. Copper pipes mounted behind the aluminum front plates of Wanpan baseboard modular panels complete the concept of this ultimate heating system.

Elpan/Wanpan Ultimate Radiant Heating System for Remodeling

There are many different kind of situations when an installation of new heating system is part of remodeling process.

It is common that owner, after purchasing a new house, decides to replace an old and unefficient heating system with more updated and sophisticated one while doing remodeling of entire property. Sometimes remodeling takes place in old downtown buildings or house has to be sold and it needs serious remodeling job to be done.

When there is a decission made to leave floor as it is and there is no option (or desire) to use surrounding walls to install standard baseboard heaters or traditional radiators, Elpan/Wanpan skirting board radiant heating system may be the only one to chose from. There is no need to take apart an existing floor or perform other kind of major construction work.

With Elpan/Wanpan heating systems remodeling process becomes much less complicated. Energy efficient Elpan/Wanpan ultimate skirting board heating system flows softly into modern indoor design and let consumers to enjoy the most comfortable radiant heat.

Elpan/Wanpan – The Ultimate Modular Panel Radiant Heating System

Wanpan is a hydronic skirting board radiant heating system that is sleek, quiet and modular so it fits anywhere. It measures only 1” thick, similar size to a standard baseboard, so there is a very little intrusion into the room.

Modular heating panels of energy saving Elpan – electric skirting board radiant heating system, are even thinner – only 5/8” thick.

The  energy efficient Elpan/Wanpan ultimate skirting board radiant heating system is a modular panel heating system. It is almost invisible. The Elpan/Wanpan heating modular heating panels provide an easy transfer between floor and wall.

Low Inertia of Elpan/Wanpan Skirting Board Radiant Heating System

Inertia of the heating system is described by the time which is needed to achieve the temperature that consumers would feel comfortable in the room.

The energy saving Elpan/Wanpan ultimate skirting board radiant heating system has very low inertia and it is very easy to control. Heating panels of energy efficient Elpan/Wanpan ultimate baseboard radiant heating system radiates heat directly into the room.

While wishing to increase the ambient temperature by 5.4 – 7.2 F° (3- 4 C°), Elpan/Wanpan radiant heating system consumes only 15% of its projected power within 1hour(installed 3414 BTU/hr (1KW) uses only 512 BTU/hr (150W), as much as two 75W light bulbs within 1 hour.

Energy Efficient Elpan/Wanpan Heating System Reacts to Additional Heat Source

Energy efficient Elpan and Wanpan skirting board radiant heating systems are even more economical for heating homes or holiday cottages using new precise control thermostats.

Elpan/Wanpan ultimate skirting board radiant heating system is sensitive to additional heat source, which appears in heated area (fire place, people, sun heat, etc.)

Programable thermostat reacts to the change of 0.9 F° (0.5 C°)  temperature in the room momentarily, and shuts down the system for as long as the certain temperature remains. A significant amount of energy can be saved as well as consumer expenses reduced.

In North facing rooms a fireplace would work for the same purpose effectively and affect energy savings. In South fasing rooms it is very important to use the sun’s heat during the heating season.

Radiant Heat Distribution Describes Efficiency of Heating System

Distribution of Heat – is the main factor which describes the efficiency of any heating system. This is well known fact by scientists, engineers and other professionals.

Any type of local heat source, e.g. radiator or fan-assisted baseboard heater has to produce a large volume of surplus heat by convection or forced air to reach all areas and corners of the room.

This results in uneven temperature extremes and excessive heat closer to the heat source and at “high-out-of-reach” levels close to the ceiling, but with “cold spots” in the corners and at the floor level.

The skirting board heating modules of energy efficient Elpan/Wanpan ultimate skirting board radiant heating systems allow radiant heat to be released in a uniform and controlled manner around the perimeter of the room, literally “stretching” the available energy-heat to provide maximum operational efficiency and an even temperature conditions.

Heating Systems

Conventional radiators produce a high temperature immediately above the radiator and a warm layer under the ceiling. The lowest temperature is at the floor height and this causes discomfort from draughts. High energy consumption due air convection.

Infloor heating produces higher temperature on the floor, which can be uncomfortable to stand on without footwear, for longer period of time. The temperature is lower the farther from the heat source.  There is large energy consumption due to the inertia of the system and inherent limited possibilities for the exploitation of the free heat by temperature control. By installing wood floor and/or covering floor with carpet makes radiant heating system far less efficient.

Ceiling heating has been used for some years in single family houses and in some large rooms in public buildings by installing radiant overhead ceiling panels. Warm air moves upward and a layer of higher temperature air always will be at the ceiling.

Forced Air heating system that is blowing warm air makes room space to warm up quickly. However, when outdoor temperature is low, room space that was warmed up cools very quickly, soon after stopping to blow warm air. It increases energy consumption. Huge air infiltration significantly reduces air humidity. Additional air convection results big energy loses as well.

Elpan/Wanpanenergy saving skirting board radiant heating system is based on the principle of the thermal encirclement, which creates a more even distribution of heat throughout the room, as the heat is conducted at a lower temperature.

This is quite different baseboard radiant heating system in comparison to other heating systems such as conventional radiators, baseboard heaters, infloor heating or ceiling heating.
