Elpan/Wanpan Skirting Board Heating System in Show Rooms

Specific thermal conditions have to be preserved in premises such as show rooms. Limited dust level, even temperature and relatively humid air –  are the ones of the most important conditions in exhibition halls and show rooms.

Elpan/Wanpan skirting board radiant heating system follows up with all of these requirements and helps to keep expensive items undamaged for prolonged period of time.

Special indoor conditions are achieved because of thermal encirclement. The thermal encirclement is a result of certain lay out of Elpan/Wanpan heating panels which are mounted at the location of regular baseboards along the perimeter of the room.

Elpan/Wanpan skirting board radiant heating system is enable to preserve the lowest air convection and because of that – the lowest possible level of dust, uniform temperature ( 0.5 C temperature difference between floor to ceiling) and relatively humid air. Using energy efficient Elpan/Wanpan baseboard radiant heating system all exhibits are protected from unfriendly indoor environment influence in many different ways.

Thermal Encirclement – Minimum Convection – No Additional Dust

Because of the Heat Enclosure effect while using energy efficient Elpan/Wanpan radiant skirting board heating system, a minimum convection does not allow for additional dust to form.

This is the result of the uniform temperature within the total space and the lowest level of air convection.  The difference of the temperature between the floor and the ceiling of the room is less than 0.5 degrees of C. It helps to have conditionally humid air in the room.

While using energy saving Elpan/Wanpan ultimate  radiant heating system floor surface is not additionally heated, so people and especially kids do not have any risk for their immune system to be weakening.

Radiant Heat Distribution Describes Efficiency of Heating System

Distribution of Heat – is the main factor which describes the efficiency of any heating system. This is well known fact by scientists, engineers and other professionals.

Any type of local heat source, e.g. radiator or fan-assisted baseboard heater has to produce a large volume of surplus heat by convection or forced air to reach all areas and corners of the room.

This results in uneven temperature extremes and excessive heat closer to the heat source and at “high-out-of-reach” levels close to the ceiling, but with “cold spots” in the corners and at the floor level.

The skirting board heating modules of energy efficient Elpan/Wanpan ultimate skirting board radiant heating systems allow radiant heat to be released in a uniform and controlled manner around the perimeter of the room, literally “stretching” the available energy-heat to provide maximum operational efficiency and an even temperature conditions.

Heating Systems

Conventional radiators produce a high temperature immediately above the radiator and a warm layer under the ceiling. The lowest temperature is at the floor height and this causes discomfort from draughts. High energy consumption due air convection.

Infloor heating produces higher temperature on the floor, which can be uncomfortable to stand on without footwear, for longer period of time. The temperature is lower the farther from the heat source.  There is large energy consumption due to the inertia of the system and inherent limited possibilities for the exploitation of the free heat by temperature control. By installing wood floor and/or covering floor with carpet makes radiant heating system far less efficient.

Ceiling heating has been used for some years in single family houses and in some large rooms in public buildings by installing radiant overhead ceiling panels. Warm air moves upward and a layer of higher temperature air always will be at the ceiling.

Forced Air heating system that is blowing warm air makes room space to warm up quickly. However, when outdoor temperature is low, room space that was warmed up cools very quickly, soon after stopping to blow warm air. It increases energy consumption. Huge air infiltration significantly reduces air humidity. Additional air convection results big energy loses as well.

Elpan/Wanpanenergy saving skirting board radiant heating system is based on the principle of the thermal encirclement, which creates a more even distribution of heat throughout the room, as the heat is conducted at a lower temperature.

This is quite different baseboard radiant heating system in comparison to other heating systems such as conventional radiators, baseboard heaters, infloor heating or ceiling heating.
